Spooky spirits to celebrate Halloween

Few holiday cocktails are as festive as a good old fashioned witches brew. Get inspired by these ghoulish delights this Halloween.

 

Red Moon Over Manhattan

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Apothic Red
  • 1/2 oz Bourbon
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 Large Ice Sphere
  • Orange Peel
  • 3 Maraschino Cherries

How to Mix

  1. Shake all of the ingredients with ice for 20 seconds
  2. Rub the orange peel around the rim of the glass
  3. Add the ice sphere to the glass and strain the cocktail over the sphere
  4. Scoop one cherry to place inside the drink and add two more on a twig or cocktail stirrer to garnish the glass

RED SANGRIA RECIPE

Red Sangria Recipe
1 bottle Apothic Red
1/2 cup brandy
1 cup red raspberries
2 cups sliced strawberries
1/4 cup real maraschino cherries (about 10-15 cherries)
1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
1 sliced red pear
1/4 simple syrup (1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar boiled for 10 minutes until sugar melts, then cooled)
1 cup club soda

Directions
Add all of the ingredients into a pitcher and refrigerate for 2 hours or more. When you’re ready to serve, add in the club soda and give it a good stir. Add in ice if you prefer.

Angry Orchard Halloween Punch – Spirit Halloween

 

Hair of the Three-Headed Dog

1.5 oz tequila
1/2 cup tomato juice
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Tabasco
1 12-oz bottle Mexican beer
 (like Corona or Modelo)

2 tablespoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1 celery stalk, washed, root end trimmed (optional)

Mix tequila, tomato juice, lime juice, Worcestershire and Tabasco sauces. Mix salt and chili powder together in a small bowl or saucer. Rub the rim of a pint glass with a slice of lime and roll the outside of the glass rim in the chili salt to coat it. Fill glass halfway with ice, add tomato mixture, stir well, and top with beer. Garnish with celery if you like.
